Travel & hotels

Below you’ll find details about getting to Uzès, lodging recommendations, and local transport.

Getting there

For guests joining us from the both England and United States, we recommend flying into Marseille, which is a 1h50 drive to Uzès. Americans will likely have a connection in Paris. An alternative is to fly into Montpellier, which is 1h30 from Uzès, but may have fewer options for US-originated flights.

For those joining us from within France, Avignon is an excellent option to arrive by train - about an hour drive from Uzès.

Local Transportation

Uber is available in the area, though it is more reliable if you're staying in town. We'll be organizing some taxis to shuttle people back to Uzès throughout the night, and can also put you in touch with recommended taxi companies if you'd like to book in advance. The venue has parking for those who prefer to drive.

Where to Stay

Uzès is a charming medieval town. Please note that the hotels we've listed below do not have elevators, and most rooms are not on the ground floor. AC is also not the norm.

La Maison d'Uzès

Upscale boutique hotel in the center of town.

La Maison Rouge

Charming bed and breakfast 8 minute walk into the center of the old town with a pool.

Hotel Entraigues

Boutique hotel in the center of town, with a small pool.

Airbnb

There are a multitude of lovely options at varying price points for apartments in town. Similar to the hotels in town, most are in old stone buildings, and do not have AC or elevators.

As you look farther outside of town, you'll find larger, country-home airbnbs if you'd prefer more space and amenities.
